Our first week

Happy Sunday friends!

We officially launched The Fractional Hub one week ago today, and it’s been an incredible learning experience. We’ve had the chance to speak to a lot of you in the community, and we’ve already received some great feedback. One interesting bit of info was about the types of professionals we’ve had joining the community. Last week I asked whether community members were freelancers, full-timers, or already working fractionally. Surprisingly (to us at least), the majority of poll respondents stated that they were currently working as freelancers. This is a relatively small sample size compared to the size of the community (almost 200 at the time of writing, with another couple of hundred on the mailing list!), but it surprised us as we all came from a full-time background.

Naturally, we recognise at this point that we need to better understand the types of people seeking out fractional work. One way we’re planning to do this initially is with weekly Q&As for the first month, but we also want to make sure we’re getting in-depth, qualitative feedback from real community members. We’re going to reach out to speak to some of you one to one, giving you a chance to provide feedback and steer the direction we take this community. We’re also in the process of mapping out our roadmap for the next resources and templates we’ll create. Look out for a poll in the community where we’ll ask about what would be most helpful for you.

In more personal news, Michael and Rachael are taking a well-earned break this weekend to do some planning (and menu tasting) for their wedding this summer - exciting stuff!
